Columbia, SC office furniture dealer, McWaters, expands into Charleston

McWaters announces that it is strengthening and growing its relationship with Steelcase in the Charleston area. Steelcase chose McWaters to provide resources and support in this rapidly growing area thanks to McWaters’ consultative nature, dedicated relationships with clients, and past success growing in other markets such as Savannah and Augusta.

“This growth is a testament to our team’s ability to consistently find ways to enhance and optimize our customers’ spaces,” said William Gresham, Owner and President of McWaters. “We’re looking forward to supporting the Charleston market as it continues to grow.”

McWaters also has a deep understanding of the Charleston market and Coastal regions.

“We’ve had the opportunity to work with many clients in the area like AT&T, Blackbaud, Summerville Medical Center, Charleston County School District, Santee Cooper, Gulfstream Construction, the University of South Carolina, and Southeastern Freight Lines,” said Gresham. “Over the years we’ve also developed community ties through partnerships with companies like Colliers, Liollio Architecture, WestRock, and LS3P and the Charleston County School District.

McWaters expanded partnership with Steelcase gives them the opportunity to create a physical presence in the area. Over the next year, it will be working toward creating a Customer Experience Center in Charleston that will function much like the co-branded centers in our existing locations. McWaters will be designing a space where its clients can come to see and interact with their products, technologies, and designs. The result will be an innovative, inspiring and flexible work environment paired with the consultative approach to customer service.

free customer meeting space with audiovisual technology While McWaters is working toward creating its physical space, Charleston Market Manager, Harry Dent, will be in the area to meet the immediate needs of customers and spearheading new projects. Harry will be joining Andrew Whisenhunt, the McWaters Business Development and Commercial Flooring expert, who is currently in Charleston and has served the market since 2015. All five of McWaters’ service lines will be available in the Charleston market – Furniture, Audio Visual Technology, Flooring, Relocation Services and Architectural Solutions.
