Councilman Moe Baddourah takes on new position at USC

December 30, 2015

Columbia City Councilman, Moe Baddourah, has accepted a new position at the University of South Carolina to run the McCutchen House and to teach a class in restaurant management.

Baddourah’s restaurant, Moe’s Grapevine, opened over 10 years ago, was built from ground up and served many happy customers. During this wonderful phase of Councilman Baddourah’s life is when he met his wife, Carrie, and both of their children were born. Both boys, Eli and Zeke, enjoy cooking with their Dad.

Councilman Baddourah stated, “Closing one phase of my life and opening another is both scary and exciting. I have been so passionate about the authentic cuisine at my restaurant and providing customers with an enjoyable dining experience. I plan to bring that same passion to the McCutchen House and to the students in my restaurant management course. I am proud to be part of the University family and to have the opportunity to work with young people that want to go into the restaurant industry.”

The McCutchen house will provide lunches prepared and served by HRTM students and is open to the public.
