Countybank hires Chris Jackson as SBA Division Manager

July 6, 2023

Countybank announced the hiring of Chris Jackson as Small Business Administration (SBA) Division Manager. The position manages and supervises sales, operations, and administration of Countybank’s SBA lending department.

Jackson has more than 20 years of banking and SBA lending experience, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of SBA lending for German American Bank. There he handled the development and execution of SBA lending strategies while managing the department. Jackson holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Capital University and a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky.

Jackson will additionally take over the responsibilities of SBA Lending Manager from Paul Pickhardt, who will celebrate his retirement later this year.

Pickhardt, who has been Countybank’s SBA Lending Manager for 6 years, expressed his excitement about Jackson joining Countybank, noting, “Chris is a great fit for this role as well as a great cultural fit for Countybank. I have no doubt that the department will continue to grow and reach new heights under his experienced leadership.”

Countybank’s SBA lending team has seen remarkable success since its creation in 2017, including being named the top SBA lender in South Carolina in 2019, 2021, and 2022. Additionally, the department reached a significant milestone in 2022, surpassing $100 million in loan closings.
SBA loans offer many benefits, including long-term financing, great business leverage via lower cash injection and longer terms.
