Hospice of Laurens County

Hospice of Laurens County was the first hospice to open in Laurens County and has continued to be a leader in hospice care in our community. Hospice of Laurens County was established in May 1987 by a group of volunteers who identified a need for Hospice in this community. Hospice of Laurens County is a not-for-profit organization caring for all patients regardless of their ability to pay for services. Since 1987 we have served thousands of patients and their families. Hospice of Laurens County not only cares for the patient but also their family and loved ones. In 2008 Hospice of Laurens County opened the Hospice House, the first of its kind in Laurens County. Hospice offers comfort care rather than curative treatment. Hospice care focuses on the quality of life and death is viewed as a natural process; we do not hasten nor postpone this natural course.
