EdVenture will partner with Dominion Carolina Gas Transmission and the Dominion Foundation to distribute books to children in Richland, Darlington and Orangeburg counties. The partnership will provide age appropriate books to children through EdVenture’s Yes, Every Child initiative which provides accessibility to educational programming for under resourced children and families.

Books were distributed at the Hartsville Farmer’s Market on December 10, 2016 and will be distributed in Orangeburg through the Orangeburg School District 5. The Columbia distribution will be held at the Deckle Edge Literary Festival in February 2017.

“Dominion Carolina Gas Transmission and the Dominion Foundation are proud to partner with Yes, Every Child to support reading opportunities across South Carolina,” said Keith Windle, General Manager for Dominion Carolina Gas Transmission. “It is our hope that each child who receives a book from Yes, Every Child will be inspired to become lifelong learners and explorers.”

“Our vision to create the next generation of lifelong learners was developed with all children in mind. Regardless of cultural, ethnic, geographic or socio-economic barriers, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to participate in and grow from the unique educational experiences of EdVenture,” said Nikki Williams, EdVenture’s Executive Vice President of External Relations. “With your support, we can make a difference in the lives of children most in need of a chance to experience the joy of learning.”

Yes, Every Child is an initiative to provide accessibility to educational programming for underserved children and families through targeted community outreach and reduced museum admission. The efforts of Yes, Every Child are made possible through corporate grants and individual contributions.
