Incumbent Mayor to Serve 2nd Full Term

CAYCE, SC –  Elise Partin has been re-elected mayor of the historic City of Cayce and will serve for another four-year term. The public is encouraged to attend the official swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. at Cayce City Hall at the beginning of the regularly scheduled City Council meeting.

Mayor Partin was originally elected in 2008 for a partial term and again in 2010 for a full term. This year she ran uncontested and is thrilled by the outpouring of support she has received from the citizens of the City of Cayce.

“Thank you for your early support in my campaign, from donating to social media to word of mouth,” said Mayor Partin. “Because of you, I was able to run uncontested, allowing me to focus on continuing to work hard for our city.”

As a progressive, non-partisan mayor, Partin was the first female to serve in the office of the Mayor in Cayce. She has prioritized fiscal responsibility, savvy economic development that preserves Cayce’s small-town feel, and open, transparent communication between citizens and city officials.

Partin has been a resident of Cayce for more than 20 years, and has enjoyed the community’s support throughout the past six years she has served as mayor. In the new term, Partin plans to continue her open-door approach to government that includes better customer service for residents in all their dealings with the city, increased economic development for Cayce and the Midlands region and a high regard for conserving taxpayers’ hard-earned money.
