Eme Crawford Named Manager of Social Media and Online Mobilization

COLUMBIA, SC – September 30, 2013 – The New Morning Foundation announce the promotion of Eme Crawford to the position of Manager of Social Media and Online Mobilization.

In her new position, Eme will oversee the Foundation’s new media strategies and engagement campaigns. She will develop a comprehensive online vision and strategy for Tell Them, the Foundation’s grassroots program, while researching emerging technologies and strategies to increase member activism.

“I am thrilled to continue the expansion of the Tell Them e-advocacy network,” said Crawford. “This is a network known for its innovative and creative use of new technology. I am excited to take on this role and engage activists across the state.”

Originally from Lyerly, Georgia, Eme earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Mercer University, and a Master’s degree in 19th Century American Literature from the University of South Carolina. With the completion of her dissertation titled Hiding in Plain Sight: The Rhetorical Workings of Simon de Beauvoir’s Feminist Language, Eme completed her study of Rhetoric and Composition at the University of South Carolina, becoming a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D). Eme is a former instructor at the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.
