Artificial Intelligence in Genealogy
October 9 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Laurens District Genealogy Society will host Colleen Knights on Thursday, October 9, at 7:00 p.m. at the Laurens County Museum, located at 116 South Public Square in Laurens. Knights will present a timely and thought-provoking lecture titled “The Future in Genealogy Using Artificial Intelligence (AI).”
Knights currently serves as vice chair of the South Carolina Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Lineage Committee. She was recently featured in a FOX Carolina news story highlighting a new memorial wall in Greenville honoring American Revolution heroes, where she focused on documenting soldiers who later settled in the Upstate.
Her presentation will explore the ways artificial intelligence is shaping the field of genealogy—from research and records analysis to the preservation of family histories. The lecture is free and open to the public.
