Carolina Family Services is hosting their 8th Annual Backpack Giveaway Event. What started as a small event giving away 50 backpacks has now grown into a large, community-wide event giving away over 1200 backpacks filled with school supplies!

The event is free and open to the public and will also feature a free giveaway area. It will be held at the Greenville office located at 17 Memorial Medical Drive, Greenville SC on Saturday, August 3rd from 9:00am to 12:00pm or while supplies last. Some items to know about this event:

•  It is 100% free and open to any K-12 student in the Upstate.
• Student must be present with a parent or guardian to receive a backpack.
• Each student will receive a brand-new backpack with school supplies inside (while supplies last).
• Event is a drive-thru event and does not require anyone to get out of their vehicle. Volunteers will ask your child questions to help find the best bag for them.
