Columbia – Richland 911 Hiring Fair

WHO: City of Columbia – Columbia-Richland 911 Department
WHAT: The City of Columbia will be hosting a career fair to promote openings within the 911/Emergency Communications department. The Columbia-Richland 911 Communications Center is a vital part of the public safety and response team, as they are the first point of contact when citizens call 9-1-1 for emergencies. The department is currently hiring for 1st and 2nd shift Telecommunicators.
Telecommunicators accept calls and dispatch the appropriate agency (police, fire, and/or emergency medical services) to the incident location. They constantly maintain awareness of available response units in order to dispatch calls appropriately and efficiently.
