Demonstrating Commitment to Father-Child Bonding Through “Little Free Library” Ribbon Cutting
October 13, 2023 @ 10:00 am
What: The SC Center for Fathers and Families is installing a third “Li7le Free Library” at the Katheryn M. Bellfield Booker Washington Heights Cultural Arts Center. Join local dignitaries, community leaders, and representatives from SCCFF for the dedication of this library resource for children in the area. Be there to help us fill the library with books and enjoy light refreshments with other community-minded individuals.
Who: The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families, a statewide fatherhood organization headquartered in Columbia, provided this new Li7le Free Library and will be hosting the event with the help of City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department and City Councilman Ed McDowell.
Why: SCCFF’s mission is to provide the means for fathers to be great dads. As a premier national fatherhood initiative that supports families, builds communities and alleviates child poverty, SCCFF works to provide tools and resources to connect dads with their children. Reading together is a great opportunity for fathers to bond with their children while supporting cognitive development and imagination.
Who Should Attend: Members of the community, local leaders, and media are invited to join SCCFF for the library dedication ceremony.
When: Friday, October 13, 2023, at 10:00 A.M.
