This beautiful play tells the unlikely story of friendship found between Daisy Werthan, an elderly Southern Jewish woman, and Hoke Colburn, her African American driver. Written by award-winning playwright Alfred Urhy, this story was adapted into the Oscar winning film starring Morgan Freeman and Jessica Tandy. The show explores the commonality found between two unlikely people set in the backdrop of Atlanta, Georgia between the years of 1948 and 1973.
