First Presbyterian Church of Clinton is inviting the community to participate in a meaningful Holy Week experience designed to encourage reflection, prayer, and spiritual preparation leading up to Easter.

Beginning Monday, March 30 at 9:00 a.m. and continuing through Friday, April 3 at 1:00 p.m., the church will host an interactive prayer experience titled “The Way of the Cross” in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, located at 410 E. Carolina Avenue in Clinton.

During this time, the sanctuary will be open during church office hours Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and on Good Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Visitors are invited to come at any time during those hours and move through the sanctuary at their own pace.

“The Way of the Cross” will feature a series of prayer stations designed to guide participants through the events of Jesus’ final journey to the cross. Each station will include artwork, scripture readings, and prayers intended to encourage quiet reflection and deepen understanding of the significance of Holy Week. A hand-held guide will be available to help participants move through each station thoughtfully and prayerfully.

In addition to the interactive prayer experience, First Presbyterian Church will hold a Maundy Thursday service on April 2 at 5:30 p.m. The service will include the sacrament of Holy Communion, a reading of the Passion narrative, and special music as the congregation reflects on the events leading to the crucifixion of Christ.

Church leaders say the events are open to everyone in the community, regardless of church background.

“Whoever you are and wherever you are on your faith journey, you are welcome here,” the church shared in its invitation to the community.
