SC Philharmonic Presents “Andy & Friends”
November 12 @ 7:30 pm
The SC Philharmonic presents an evening of chamber music with “Andy & Friends” on November 12 at Harbison Theatre. This intimate and engaging performance will feature SCP Artistic Partner and celebrated pianist Andy Armstrong, alongside one of America’s foremost violinists Stefan Jackiw, and virtuosic clarinetist Yoonah Kim.
With his passionate expression and dazzling technique, pianist Andrew Armstrong has delighted audiences in storied venues including Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, London’s Wigmore Hall, the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and Warsaw’s National Philharmonic.
“It has been one of the thrills of my lifetime building the roiling and boiling concert series ‘Andy & Friends,’ presented by the South Carolina Philharmonic,” said Armstrong. “Our first concert at Harbison Theatre features violinist Stefan Jackiw and clarinetist Yoonah Kim – not only are they spectacular musicians each in their own right, but they are also a couple, so the sparks will be flying, and I’ll be back on the piano trying to dodge those mischievous sparks. See you there, and be sure to say hello to me after the concert if you can!”
Andy’s next performance at Harbison Theatre will be February 11, 2025 with Orion Weiss (piano) and Grace Park (violin).
