Hailed as “one of the best guitarists in the world” (Boston Globe) and celebrated as “the pre-eminent guitarist of our time,” Sharon Isbin has been the soloist with over 200 orchestras, premiered over 80 works written for her by some of the world’s finest composers, and has given sold-out performances in celebrated halls across 40 countries. Isbin was inducted into the 2023 Guitar Foundation of America Hall of Fame and received their Artistic Achievement Award in June, and earlier this month she performed the world premiere performance of Karen LeFrak’s Bailamos from her Miami Concerto with the National Symphony on the lawn of the US Capitol for an audience of close to 10,000 for their Labor Day Concert. Her historic Grammy-winning, Alma Española recording, is the first all-Spanish art song album with guitar of its kind in 40 years and some of the works on this concert are selections from this best-selling album.
Soprano Jessica Rivera is one of the most creatively inspired vocal artists performing before the public today and possesses a voice praised by the San Francisco Chronicle for its “effortless precision and tonal luster.”
