Five CCSD Teachers Featured in International Professional Learning Films

February 4, 2016

The Charleston County School District announced that five teachers from our district are featured in videos about effective teaching in an online professional learning platform, Edivate. Videos on Edivate are viewed internationally by teachers and administrators seeking examples of excellent teaching and learning. Inclusion on the Edivate platform is quite an honor. CCSD teachers were chosen through a rigorous process that included the Edivate team visiting classrooms and vetting pedagogical expertise prior to selection and filming.

The following CCSD teachers are highlighted across six recently-released videos in the areas of either personalized learning, use of 1:1 technology, and/or active learning:

1) Chloe Leech (Stall High School, North Charleston)
2) Stacey Shoecraft (Pinckney Elementary School, Mt. Pleasant)
3) Kristi Meeuwse (Drayton Hall Elementary School, West Ashley)
4) Sherry Musci (St. Andrews Math & Science Elementary School, West Ashley)
5) James Tomasello (Pinehurst Elementary, North Charleston)

CCSD celebrates these outstanding teachers, shining examples of the terrific teaching that transpires in all grades and in all areas of our diverse district. Congratulations to these teachers for their professional expertise and for bringing attention to CCSD as an instructional leader. As part of this year’s annual CCSD Gala to honor outstanding educators, the district will be recognizing the accomplishments of these five teachers.
