The need for blood and platelets is constant – every two seconds someone in the U.S. is in need of blood. On average, the Red Cross must collect about 15,000 pints of blood every day to meet the needs of patients across the country, and volunteer donors are the only source of blood and platelets for those in need of transfusions – so please, donate blood and help save a life!
