Food Lion Opens in Clinton

Earlier this year the news that the Clinton BI-LO would close delivered a blow to the community.  But just a few weeks ago it was announced that Food Lion would reopen the store as part of their acquisition of the BI-LO grocery stores.

Easy, fresh and affordable is their brand statement.

The “new” Food Lion opened on Wednesday, April 21^st and from the looks of it, they are living up to their brand.  Slightly rearranged and with a fresh look the store was humming with patrons and top management was there to welcome customers.  The brands and products offered by Food Lion will bring some new options for local shoppers.

The store currently employees 60-65 people and all of the former BI-LO employees who participated in the interview process were offered positions.

The store will be open daily from 7:00 am – 11:00 pm.
