Free Community Shredding Event Scheduled For July 22

Citizens and business owners encouraged to protect themselves from identity theft

WHO: City of Greenville & Shred-it Greenville

WHAT: Free Shredding Event

WHEN: Friday, July 22

11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (rain or shine)

WHERE: Greenville County School District Office

301 East Camperdown Way

WHY: The City of Greenville is partnering with Shred-it Greenville, a local company that specializes in providing secure on-site document destruction, to hold an identity theft awareness and free shredding event for the public. Businesses and individuals are welcome. All paper MUST be bagged or boxed and each person is limited to three large trash bags or three small boxes of paper.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to support the American Red Cross of Upstate South Carolina, which will be at the event accepting monetary donations.
