Don’t want to admit you’re in the 80% loser class?
Who would? But want to become a high performer?
Research shows how the star 20%ers do it.

Strategy 1: Analyze everything you do.
Know how long every task takes.
For example, how long do you spend reading email?
What meetings should you cancel or skip?
Look for tasks you can delegate or discard.
Which tasks pay the greatest dividends?
Which ones can be delayed or not done at all?
Many times you’ll find most things can wait

Strategy 2: Identify ideal clients’ needs and wants.
Work closely with them to understand their thinking.
What are their goals and dreams?
In what time frame do they want to achieve them?
Create opportunities and strategies for them.
Ask: What will excite them and fulfill their dreams?
Ask: If I were them, what would I want and need?

Strategy 3: Learn to say “Not now” — not just “no.”
Get urgent requests from clients or employees?
All of us do. Pre-arrange time for each of them.
Anticipate with them problems that may arise.
Decide how to deal with them when they come.’
Otherwise, few things will actually be urgent.
Stephen Covey divided this into four groups:
• Important goals and tasks.
• Critical activities.
• Distractions and lack of focus.
• Interruptions, one of life’s greater annoyances.
Make your plan. Work your plan.
Avoid distractions and interruptions.

Stephen Covey is best known for “The 7 Habits.”
His equally important book is “Everyday Greatness.”
He compiled it with David Hatch.
It’s a collection of memorable experiences.
In a way, it’s like “Chicken Soup for the Soul.”
But Covey explores the meaning behind each story.
This book will give you new meaning in your life.
