Gov. Nikki Haley Letter to President Obama: Approve Keystone Pipeline

February 12, 2015

COLUMBIA, SC – Citing the economic development and energy security benefits of the Keystone XL pipeline, Governor Nikki Haley and governors across the country asked President Barack Obama to reconsider his veto of a bill that would initiate construction of the pipeline, creating jobs and further paving the path that leads to the nation’s energy independence.

“We hope you will take into account the will of the vast majority of Americans who support this project, including our constituents, and sign legislation approving the pipeline when it reaches your desk,” the governors, including Governor Haley, wrote in today’s letter to President Obama.
