Governor Nikki Haley to be honored at City Year Columbia 2016 Ripples of Hope Gala

COLUMBIA, SC – City Year Columbia, an education-focused nonprofit whose teams of diverse young adults commit to a year of full-time service in schools, will honor Governor Nikki Haley at its annual Ripples of Hope Gala on February 25th. Governor Haley will be given this year’s Idealism in Action Award due to her outstanding dedication to the children of our state by being a strong, positive voice for education.
City Year Columbia deployed numerous young adults last year to 3 schools throughout Columbia. Since 1993, City Year Columbia has served high-need schools in the Midlands to keep students in school and on track to graduate.
