Greenville Chamber begins CEO search

November 10, 2015

GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Chamber has begun its search for a new President/CEO. A national executive search firm has been engaged, has completed a thorough profile for the position, and is now accepting candidates. The position profile is posted here.

The Chamber’s Board of Directors formed a search committee shortly after current President/CEO Ben Haskew announced his plans for retiring in early 2016. The committee, made up of nine business and community leaders, was charged with finding the new CEO to lead the Chamber and advance its vision to continually improve the quality of life in our community by inspiring and facilitating business success.

After a thorough RFP process, Waverly Partners was chosen to lead the search. Waverly, the preferred search firm for the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, is a national executive search firm that specializes in recruiting Chamber and other C-level executives.

In addition to meetings with the search committee and Chamber Staff, Waverly held three focus groups with business and community members to help shape the profile for the Chamber’s next CEO.

Ben Haskew has led the Greenville Chamber at President/CEO since 2003.
