September 23, 2015

GREENVILLE, SC – Greenville Health System Boo in the Zoo, the Greenville Zoo’s annual family-friendly Halloween event for children ages 12 and under, will take place October 16 and 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and October 17 – 18 and October 24 – 25 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will feature trick-or-treating, fun-filled booths, a princess castle and characters, an extinct species graveyard and an un-haunted house.

Also, for the first time, the event will feature a free park and ride service, provided by Greenlink. Each night, starting one hour before the event, three buses will transport event attendees from County Square (301 University Ridge) to the zoo, and the buses will run continuously between the two locations until 9 p.m. Attendees are strongly encouraged to utilize this free, convenient service, as parking will not be permitted on Woodland Way (from Cleveirvine Avenue to McDaniel Avenue) or on Woodland Way Circle. Vehicles parked on those streets will be cited.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online at www.greenvillezoo.com/boo or at the zoo ticket booth during regular zoo hours: 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. for the remainder of September, and 10 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. beginning October 1.

Ticket prices for zoo members are $5 for children and free for adults. Ticket prices for the general public are $6 for children and $5 for adults.

Children must be accompanied by an adult, and everyone is invited to come in costume. For safety reasons, attendees are asked not to bring plastic pumpkins, Halloween bags or sacks. The zoo will provide special treat bags for the children.
