Greenville Zoo Celebrates Halloween With Boo in the Zoo

Festivities include children’s trick-or-treating and an unhaunted house

GREENVILLE, SC – October 21, 2011 – The Greenville Zoo will host its 25th annual Boo in the Zoo, a family-friendly Halloween event for children ages 12 years old and under. The event will feature trick-or-treating, fun-filled booths and an unhaunted house.

Boo in the Zoo will offer zoo members only nights October 21 and October 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission prices for zoo members are $3 for children and free for adults. The event will be open to the general public October 22 and 23 and October 29 and 30 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission prices for the general public are $5 for children and $3 for adults. Credit cards will not be accepted for this event; cash or checks only.

Children must be accompanied by an adult, and everyone is invited to come in costume. For safety reasons, attendees are asked not to bring plastic pumpkins, Halloween bags or sacks. The Greenville Zoo will supply special treat bags for children. The Greenville Zoo will be closing early on these days for event set up.
