GreenvilleConnect to focus next luncheon on food relief

August 6, 2013

GREENVILLE, SC – August 6, 2013 –  GreenvilleConnect welcomes local author and food relief advocate, Deb Richardson-Moore, as speaker at the August luncheon.

Richardson-Moore has become well-acquainted with the problems of hunger and homelessness in the Upstate through her work with Triune Mercy Center. Richardson-Moore has authored a book on the subject, The Weight of Mercy, and will be available after the luncheon for a question and answer session and a book signing.

Nearly one million people in South Carolina alone are food insecure, meaning that they have no food or no access to food available. Of this number, nearly one-third are children.

The luncheon will be held on Tuesday, August 20 at noon, at Greenville First Presbyterian. Please RSVP by August 19 to [email protected] with your name, organization and the number of people attending. The cost is $7 to attend.
