Habitat for Humanity of Greenville to host Thrivent Builds home dedication

What: Dedication for the Habitat Greenville Thrivent Build Home. The celebration includes a short program, Open House tour, and a reception

When: Sunday, November 16 at 4 p.m.

Where: The Abigail Springs Community, 204 Kara Court, Taylors

Who: The Edwards family, proud new Habitat homeowners, and volunteers from the Thrivent Builds Greenville Chapter and participating churches

Why: This dedication celebrates Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County’s 322nd home build.

Thrivent Builds is a national partnership between Thrivent Financial and Habitat for Humanity, and is one of the single largest sources of support and funding for Habitat for Humanity. The Greenville Chapter of Thrivent Builds is led by Thrivent Financial employees throughout the area, and is joined by Christ the King Lutheran Church, Messiah Lutheran Church, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Messiah Lutheran Church, Redeemer Lutheran Church, St. Michael Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Church.

This is the sixth build for the local Thrivent Builds chapter. With their help, a Greenville County family will have a new life.

 

 

Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County was chartered in 1985 and has provided home ownership to over 300 low-income families. Through affordable home construction, Habitat for Humanity of Greenville strives to eliminate poverty housing and the social and economic problems it causes.
