Harvest Hope announces 35th Anniversary Gala

February 22, 2016

Harvest Hope announces that they will be holding their 35th Anniversary Gala at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on March 11, 2016.

This celebration comes at a defining moment in the history of Harvest Hope.  After the devastating floods that hit South Carolina in October 2015, Harvest Hope approached the devastation with determination and a willingness to serve.

The six-weeks following the flood, Harvest Hope served over 2 million meals across South Carolina.  These meals provided a 40% increase in meal distributions from the same time in 2015.

The Gala will be a time to celebrate Harvest Hope’s incredible response to the floods plus the tremendous work they’ve displayed over the last 35 years.  It will also feature a world-class auction, concert by Blues Traveler and a presentation of the Michael J. Mungo Humanitarian Award to Governor Nikki Haley.

“I am thrilled to be celebrating 35 outstanding years of service with Harvest Hope at the Gala in March,” Denise Holland, Harvest Hope CEO, said.  “Our staff, volunteers and local community leaders have always been incredibly supportive of our mission to gather and share quality food to those who need it most.  I look forward to thanking each and every person who comes to support our ongoing efforts and service to the community.”

The Harvest Hope 35th Anniversary Gala will be held on Friday, March 11 at 6pm at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.  Tickets are $150 per person and can be purchased online at http://bidr.co/events/harvesthope
