A campus visit experience, April 7

High school students are invited to experience the exciting STEM-related opportunities Tri-County Technical College has to offer by attending Imagine TCTC, a Campus Visit Experience, scheduled for April 7.

Around 200 sophomores, juniors and seniors from area high schools will attend the event set for 9 -11 a.m. at the Pendleton Campus.

“It’s a chance for us to showcase Tri-County and how we support Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)-related experiences in both our technical and transfer programs,” said Christina Houck, admissions recruiter at Tri-County. “Whether someone chooses a technical or a transfer route, he or she will have a STEM experience with us,” said Houck.

Participants will engage with all four of Tri-County’s academic divisions and take part in hands-on STEM-related activities. In addition, Tri-County’s financial aid staff will provide financial literacy information and members of the student support and engagement staff will give an interactive overview of student services.

“The goal of this event is to highlight education and innovation in the STEM fields,” said Tiffany Blackwell, director of admissions, recruiting and orientation. “We want students to visit our campus, get to know us and open their eyes to the possibilities of a career in STEM-related fields.”

Imagine TCTC will be held in conjunction with Imagine Upstate, an annual celebration and showcase around STEAM, innovation, creative and entrepreneurial activity in the Upstate. Tri-County is a sponsor of Imagine Upstate.
