Home Works of America to hold Martin Luther King Jr. Midlands workday

On Saturday, January 13, Home Works of America will partner with Midtown Fellowship and McGregor Presbyterian to provide FREE home repairs to two homes in the midlands in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King weekend celebration. Workday will begin at 8:30am and end at 4:00pm. Over 50 volunteers are expected to bring hope to two elderly men living alone.

Home Works of America is a 501c3 with a mission to show God’s love through service to others, by repairing the homes of elderly and disadvantaged homeowners, assisting youth in their development and empowering communities to care for their own members. Since 1996, more than 45,000 youth and adult volunteers have repaired more than 2,700 homes for elderly, disabled or veteran homeowners who qualify based on income/ownership guidelines.
