InnovateHER: City’s Call for Entries

COLUMBIA, SC – The City’s Office of Business Opportunities (OBO), in partnership with Columbia College, USC-Columbia Technology Incubator, and SC Women’s Business Center, is calling for entries for the 2016 Innovating for Women Business Challenge.
InnovateHER is a national women’s business challenge sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The business challenge provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase innovative products and services that help impact and empower the lives of women and families. Products or services must exhibit the following:
- Have a measureable impact on the lives of women and families (30%)
- Have the potential for commercialization (40%)
- Fill a need in the marketplace (30%)
To participate, applicants must complete the InnovateHER interest application and submit a business plan, including an executive summary, no later than 12:00 pm, Thursday, November 5, 2015.
The pitch competition will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at 6 pm, at the Darla Moore School of Business.
