Jennifer L. Bloom Joins Natioal Association for Campus Activities Board of Directors

COLUMBIA, SC – August 2, 2012 – The National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) recently appointed Jennifer L. Bloom, EdD as guest to the NACA® Board of Directors.

Bloom is a clinical professor and director of the master’s degree program in the Higher Education & Student Affairs Program in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policies at the University of South Carolina.  She also directs the Office of Appreciative Education at the university.

Prior to her appointment at the University of South Carolina in August, 2007, Bloom served as the Associate Dean for Student Affairs & the Medical Scholars Program at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Urbana-Champaign. She earned her doctorate in Higher Education Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1995.

Bloom served as the 2007-08 president of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) and has received numerous awards for her role as a mentor and adviser.  She has co-authored four books, four book chapters, and sixteen articles. In addition, Bloom has delivered more than 14 national webinars and more than 160 presentations on her work at institutions and conferences across the country.
