CHARLESTON, SC – There’s no better place to spend a Sunday afternoon than on one of the Top 10 Shopping Streets in all of America. And without cars … just people, shopping, outdoor dining and entertainment galore.
Join us this Sunday, January 8 when King Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic from Queen Street north to Calhoun from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.
Music, Music, Music
This month’s soundtrack will feature hip music, cool jazz and classical works by some of Charleston’s most loved musicians. Shrimp City Slim, Sollie Puddin Jenkins, Michael Lindsey, and our favorite accordionist Matt Lohan will be there.
The 2nd Sunday Information Tent at Wentworth and King is your source for parking vouchers, coupons and door prizes.
Impressionist painter Rick Reinert will work on his plein air King Street Series at Reinert LePrince Gallery, 179 King Street, Reinert’s cards support 2nd Sunday and are also available at the Charleston Preservation Society Book and Gift Shop, and the Charleston Visitors Center.
