INMAN, SC – June and July offer many special events for visitors to Hollywild Animal Park.  Search for the “Dad of the Year” candidate of the animal kingdom on Father’s Day with our special Dad’s admitted free special or on Scout Appreciation Days for a special discount.  Science camps provide full day fun for kids. Military members and retirees, receive free admission on July 4th in honor of their service to our Nation.    Our admission rates for 2011 are $12 for adults; $10 for students and military personnel with ID; $ 8 for children ages 2-14, senior citizens, and handicapped individuals. Children under 2 admitted free. Group discounts are available with advanced reservations. In addition to the everyday fun at the park enjoying the animals, safari rides and Creature Features included with admission, the following Special Events are being held: (regular admission applies except where noted *)

JUNE – Science Adventure Month
Hours: weekdays- 9AM – 4 PM; weekends 10 AM – 5 PM

Saturday, June 11th – Scout Appreciation Day
Scouting Appreciation Days offer scouts an opportunity to work toward different scouting achievements while visiting Hollywild at a discounted rate.  Individual scouts in uniform or groups with leaders with Scout ID are admitted for the weekend group rate, a 15 % discount. Special activity add-ons such as pony rides, and guided tours have additional fees.

Tuesday, June 14th –  Science Day Camp for 2nd – 5th  graders
                                     9 am – 4 pm
Science Adventure Camp offers students the chance to experience life science in action by touching and hand-feeding animals, taking a campers-only private Safari ride, and participating in Creature Features, side by side with camp counselors. Animals, adaptations, habitats, ecosystems, plants, and other core content are of state curriculum standards are covered in the outdoor classroom setting. Registration, through June 13th is $35, and space available registration on each day of camp is $45. Campers bring their own lunch.

Saturday, June 19th  – Father’s Day @ Hollywild

Dads get in free when accompanied by a child (12 and under)
Search the Safari for our “Dad of the Year” our father Emu who is caring for his two babies and keeps them close. For more Father’s Day Fun, Join the Fishing Rodeo  Fishermen of all ages pay $5 for a timed turn at Hollywild’s front pond. The numerous carp, bream, catfish and koi are quite eager to snap up the bait. One colorful Koi will be tagged for the big prize, a family season pass to the park ($100 value). Additional fish will be tagged for many other prizes including some cash prizes. The event is catch-and-release, with equipment including barbless hooks provided on-site as part of Hollywild’s commitment to the safety of the fish.

Monday, July 4th Military Appreciation Day

While celebrating the birth of our nation, we celebrate the dedication of our men and women in uniform, both active duty and retired, by offering free admission for anyone showing their military ID and driver’s license at the admissions gate.  

Thursday, July 14th – Science Day Camp for 2nd – 5th graders
