Junior League of Greenville announces Young Writing Contrast

February 5, 2018

The Junior League of Greenville has announced their sixth annual Young Women’s Writing Contest and hope you’ll share this information with your audience.

The Junior League of Greenville offers young women in grades 6-12 an opportunity to win a $500 scholarship and publication of their essay in the Summer 2018 issue of VISIONS magazine.

This year’s topic will be the following:

“Dear Future Me,

There’s a song that goes, “I wish that I knew what I know now, when I was younger.” How many times have we heard parents echo that sentiment? Of course, there is truth that wisdom comes with age and experience, but what would happen if we flipped the script?

Young people are full of ideas, thoughts and dreams that often get lost in the transition to adulthood. As you begin the next chapter of your life, what do you want to carry with you? If you could address your future self—the “you” five, 10 or 20 years in the future—what would you say?”

The winner will be announced by May 1, 2018. Please see the attached press release for additional details. Also, feel free to reach out with any questions.
