Kia Motors president visits Kia of Greer

GREER, SC – April 17, 2013 – Byung Mo Ahn, the group president and chief executive officer of Kia Motors America, visited Kia of Greer this week as the dealership’s celebrated its 10th anniversary.

Kia of Greenville has sold more than 17,000 vehicles in the Upstate in the past decade and routinely ranks first in South Carolina Kia dealerships for customer satisfaction and being number one volume leader in the state.

“The great success we have experienced over the past decade is a credit to all of the staff at Kia of Greer as well as our great customers,” said Bob Hogan, owner of Kia of Greer.

Ahn was named Group President and CEO of Kia Motors America (KMA) and Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia (KMMG) in February 2008, overseeing all of Kia Motors sales and manufacturing operations in the United States. He also holds the title of president of  Kia Motors Corporation. Ahn played a vital role in bringing both the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing America plant to Montgomery, Alabama and the Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia plant to West Point, Georgia, effectively establishing the Korean automotive manufacturing base in the United States.
