Laurens County Chamber of Commerce Gears Up for the 45th Annual Awards Dinner

The Laurens County Chamber of Commerce recently announced the much anticipated 45th Annual Awards Dinner, scheduled to take place on February 29, 2024. This event promises an evening of celebration, recognition, and community spirit, showcasing the remarkable achievements of the past year.

Amanda Munyan, President, and CEO of the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce, expressed her excitement about the upcoming event, stating, “The Annual Awards Dinner is a highlight for us every year. It’s an opportunity to come together as a community, celebrate our collective successes, and honor those individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the growth and prosperity of Laurens County.”

The event, held at Presbyterian College’s Mabry-Smith-Yonce Center, will shine a spotlight on the dedicated sponsors, volunteers, and community members whose unwavering support has played a pivotal role in the Chamber’s accomplishments. The Laurens County Chamber of Commerce believes in recognizing and appreciating the efforts of businesses, organizations, and individual leaders that have significantly contributed to the betterment of the community.

Deadlines for the Duke Energy Citizenship & Service Award and the Laurens Electric Cooperative (LEC) Community Initiative Impact Grant are both Friday, February 2, 2024.  The Duke Energy Award pays tribute to individuals who use their time, talent, and compassion to positively affect the lives of others in their communities or in the workplace. Recipients of the award help foster a culture of citizenship and service that acts as a catalyst for others to become involved in civic and social activities.  The Laurens Electric Cooperative (LEC) Community Initiative Impact Grant is a $1000-$2000 competitive grant, to be awarded to an organization(s) to support community growth and/or vibrancy projects to increase quality of life.
