Lexington One names Beverly OGES assistant principal

LEXINGTON, SC – The Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Stacy M. Beverly during a special meeting called on June 3, 2016.

Beverly joins the Oak Grove Elementary School team as assistant principal, replacing current assistant principal Jennifer Stanley.

Joining OGES is a return to Lexington One for Beverly, who taught at Pleasant Hill Elementary School from 2009 to 2012, when she moved to Irmo Elementary School in Lexington-Richland School District Five as administrative assistant principal.

She started her career in the Charleston area, teaching at Spann Elementary School in Summerville from 1998 to 2004. Beverly was promoted to assistant principal at Thomas Cario Middle School in Mount Pleasant in 2004. After two years at Thomas Cario Middle, Beverly served as assistant principal at Belle Hall Elementary School in Mount Pleasant for three years until 2009.

Beverly earned her Bachelor of Science in biology from Francis Marion University and Master of Elementary Leadership from The Citadel. She also holds certifications in elementary education, elementary supervision and leadership.
