Little Dog Agency Inc., adds depth to their team – hires Laura Murphy as Director of PR and Social Media Strategy

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC Little Dog Agency, Inc., a full-service, Charleston-based agency specializing in Brand Marketing and Public Relations, is expanding their leadership team due to positive growth and new client initiatives.

Laura brings more than 15 years of account management experience where she has applied her expertise in managing clients’ needs in the areas of public relations and strategic planning. She has worked with several Fortune 500 companies and her industry background includes clients in Automotive, Banking, Food and Beverage and Healthcare.

Here in Charleston, she led the internal communications team for the Medical University of South Carolina and developed a communication process, which became a widely adopted method.  She spent over five years with McKeemanPR as an account manager and social media advisor for McDonald’s, servicing over 700 restaurants in the southeast region. She led fundraising efforts for five Ronald McDonald House Charities chapters across the Carolinas where she was recognized as spearheading a top fundraising campaign in 2010. Her automotive expertise comes from management of several dealership sales incentive programs and new model launches for DaimlerChrysler. She worked on a national sales campaign to promote General Motors and was the recipient of a J.D. Power and Associates award.

Laura holds a B.A. in Public Relations with Minors in Journalism and Social Work from Western Michigan University. She resides in Mount Pleasant with her husband and two daughters and also serves as a PTA communications advisor and contributing blogger.
