Lockheed-Martin gift supports aircraft maintenance scholarships at Greenville Tech

GREENVILLE, SC – July 19, 2011 – A $30,000 gift from Lockheed-Martin to the Greenville Tech Foundation will support scholarships for Aircraft Maintenance Technology students at Greenville Technical College. The gift, to be added to the Lockheed-Martin Endowed Aircraft Maintenance Scholarship Fund, will provide scholarship assistance in perpetuity.

As he presented the check, Bob Owenby, Lockheed-Martin Greenville site executive, emphasized the importance of an ongoing strong partnership between the company and the college for the future success of Lockheed-Martin and Greenville Tech graduates. Dr. Keith Miller, Greenville Tech’s president, thanked Owenby and Lockheed-Martin on behalf of the students who will benefit and assured the company of the college’s commitment to high quality education in aircraft maintenance technology.
