LTC’s Machine Tool Program receives Gene Haas Foundation Grant

LEXINGTON, S.C. — Lexington Technology Center’s Machine Tool Program Instructor Gray Bedenbaugh recently received a Gene Haas Foundation Grant for $10,000.
“I am excited about the opportunity to grow the machine tool technology program at the technology center using the funds from the Gene Haas Foundation Grant,” says Gray Bedenbaugh.
LTC was one of six programs to receive the grant in South Carolina this year.
This grant will provide LTC the opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of machine tool training and how it is the foundation of the manufacturing industry. Bedenbaugh knows there is great need for skilled machinists in the workforce today and he plans to use the grant money to encourage students to complete the program at LTC and continue their education after leaving LTC.
