Magnolia Gardens and Lowcountry Dog promoting dog adoptions

July 27, 2016
Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, considered one of America’s most dog-friendly destinations, has partnered with Lowcountry Dog Magazine to offer free annual memberships to families that adopt a dog in August and September.
Five animal shelters and ten animal rescue programs are participating in this expanded effort to help find a home for abandoned dogs. In early 2015, Magnolia first offered family memberships in exchange for dog adoptions.
Families that adopt a dog at a participating location will receive a coupon for a free family membership, which can be redeemed at the Magnolia office. The annual family membership is a $100 value.
Karen Lucht, Magnolia’s special events and festival coordinator, said, “the membership offer is our way to help our four-legged friends find their forever homes.” Leashed dogs are always welcomed at Magnolia. Magnolia is listed in the “Ruff Guide to the United States: 365 of the Best Places to Stay & Play With Your Dog in all 50 States.”
