May 26 Event to Showcase Signature Programs at Easley Campus
May 16, 2011EASLEY, SC – May 16, 2011 – This fall, Tri-County Technical College will addfirst-semester Industrial Electronics Technology (IET) and LicensedPractical Nursing classes to its program offerings at the Easley Campus.
The College is hosting an event to showcase these signature programs,along with the University Transfer program, Thursday, May 26, from 2 – 6 p.m. College representatives from admissions, financial aid and morewill be on hand to answer questions.
The IET curriculum is stilloffered in its entirety at the Pendleton Campus, and the fullfirst-semester courses and labs will be offered at Easley, beginning inAugust. The Licensed Practical Nursing program will move from thePendleton Campus to the Easley Campus this fall.
Guests at the Easley Campus showcase event can tour the AcademicBuilding, which houses classrooms, offices, a multi-purpose room,student lounge and science labs, as well as the QuickJobs DevelopmentCenter, a 4,600-square-foot building used for employee and workforcetraining.
In addition to IET, Practical Nursing and University Transfer, EasleyCampus course offerings include Health Sciences, Criminal Justice, andMedical Office Specialist, in addition to the Early ChildhoodDevelopment and Entrepreneurship /Small Business certificate programs. In addition, Business Foundations and University Studies Transfercertificates will be available this fall.
Non-credit classes (personal interest and professional development) areoffered through the Corporate and Community Education (CCE) Division. These professional and personal interest classes include Certified Nurse Aide, transportation (truck driving CDL) office skills and leadershiptraining.
The Easley Campus gives the College a presence in each of the threecounties. The campus will better serve the citizens of Pickens County by offering credit and continuing education courses to residents.
