M&G and the Kroc Center Partner for a Kids’ 3D Art Exhibition

June 17, 2014

GREENVILLE, SC – From June 13th through July 6th, the Museum & Gallery at Bob Jones University and The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center invite all to enjoy the innovative work of Greenville’s youngest artists! As part of M&G’s annual Kids Create! summer art camps, budding artists from the ages of 5–14 are able to learn the techniques involved in creating truly great pieces of art.

This year for middle school kids (ages 12-14), M&G’s Kids Create!: Exploring 3D camp exposed and encouraged student-artists to design and create sculpted works of art, all while exploring the use of 3D art as it relates to the animation process. Throughout the five-day morning sessions, these young artists tested art principles in designing characters for animation, which allows them to continue their artistic growth and exploration at home and into daily life.

Beginning Friday, June 13th, M&G and the Kroc Center partnered to display the handiwork of these Kids Create! students, starting with an opening reception and three-week exhibition at the Kroc Center. Students, their families, and friends are all welcome to attend and admire the artwork of some of Greenville’s talented 12–14 year olds. The exhibition will continue through July 6th.
