Midtown welcomes Café Felix to King Street

Colliers International brokers lease to add new restaurant to the mixed-use development at the head of King Street in Charleston

Colliers International’s John Orr, CCIM and Elyse Chubb Welch, CCIM represented the landlord in the 2,016 square-foot lease for Café Felix at the Midtown development. This will be their first location in South Carolina, and the restaurant is expected to open in early 2017.

Café Felix is a Michigan-based French bistro restaurant. The Charleston location will be more of a cocktail bar that also offers lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

Midtown is a high-profile mixed-use development located on Upper King with a blend of retail, hotel and office space. Enormous growth in downtown Charleston has surrounded Midtown with more developments to the north, including the NoMo Tech Corridor, placing it at the intersection of office and retail on the Peninsula. Unsurprisingly, this prime location and high-quality construction have made Midtown attractive to tenants, and the development already includes two hotels, the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House, as well as Revelator Coffee Company.
