June 18, 2014

GREENVILLE, SC – Stephanie Murray, a rising senior at Wren High School, was selected to participate in the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Minority Internship Program. Murray shadowed the employees of DNA Creative Communications on Monday, June 16 and explored the different roles of the company.

“I feel honored to have been selected,” said Murray. “This opportunity will allow me to find my niche in life and hopefully lead to more wonderful opportunities.”

She was the only selected participant for the 2014 AAF Greenville Minority High School Internship program. To be selected, Murray had to send an application including: an essay explaining why she wanted to pursue a career in advertising, a transcript and resume. Murray and two others were selected, based on these credentials, to attend an interview with the board of the program. After the interview, she was then chosen as the 2014 AAF Minority Intern of the Year. The two-week internship will allow Murray to receive a $500 scholarship from the Greenville AAF chapter; and makes her eligible for a $1,000 scholarship from AAF District three.

Murray will shadow employees of Brand Farmers, Photoelectric, Erwin Penland and Fisheye Studios for the rest of the week. For more information, visit www.dnacc.com or call (864) 235-0959.
