NAI Avant Adds Paschal, Brown, Metts to Specialized Brokerage Teams, Columbia

COLUMBIA, SC – NAI Avant is pleased to announce the recent additions of Paul Paschal, Boyd Brown, and John Metts as brokerage associates to the market leading office and retail brokerage teams at their Columbia headquartered office.

Paul Paschal joined the office brokerage team with a focus on exclusive office buyer and tenant representation along with general brokerage. He is teamed with two of the firm’s top brokerage professionals, Paul Hartley, SIOR and Roger Winn, who have 40 years of combined active commercial brokerage experience. Paschal is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he participated in multiple academic, athletic, and philanthropic organizations on campus.

Boyd Brown joined the brokerage team, where he will specialize in general brokerage and business development statewide, as well as acreage transactions. Prior to joining NAI Avant, Brown left an early career in state politics and became the Business Developer for general contractors in the Midlands where he was responsible for generating new business while maintaining existing client relationships. His background in both the public and private development sectors provide him with a wealth of contacts across the state and the Southeast. Brown graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in December 2007, and subsequently, was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives the following November. While in the Legislature, Brown was assigned to the Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs Committee, and in his second term, was appointed to the Judiciary Committee.

John Metts joined the retail brokerage team, where he will focus on the sales and leasing of retail properties throughout the Midlands market and state. He is teamed with Patrick Palmer, CCIM, NAI Avant’s Director of Retail Services. Metts graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2013, where he double majored in History and Political Science. He has served as an intern for Senator Joe Wilson, Senator John Courson, and the South Carolina Republican Party. Metts is also active in his community, serving as a volunteer for the American Red Cross, Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital, and Harvest Hope Food Bank.
