New art exhibit at Columbia Metropolitan Airport

July 20, 2016

Continuing with our rotating arts program, Columbia Metropolitan Airport announce the installation of a new art exhibit in the main lobby of the terminal.

The exhibit features works by Artists Rebecca Hinson, Lauren Neville, Ron Hagell, and Jason Gowdy.

Rebecca is a Lowcountry artist living in Charleston who specializes in oil paintings of southern scenes, historic architecture, and animals. She draws inspiration from her upbringing in the rural South and the beauty and charm of the Lowcountry; Lauren’s art reflects her life by the use of joyful colors inspired by time spent with family and friends. She has the innate ability to combine colors that create a piece of art; Ron’s photographic and film work are related to narrative, social issues, portraiture, and dance. Ron taught media art at Royal Holloway, University of London for many years and also at the Rhode Island School of Design and privately in Columbia; Jason (JC) is a self-taught, abstract artist inspired by the colors and the natural beauty of the south, mixed with the endless antics of friends and family.

Their collection will be on display through the Fall.
