Ridgeville, SC – Tucked away on 53 acres near the Edisto River, the new Eco-retreat and Outdoor Exploration Camp Natural Gathering Grounds is a Forest School and Waldorf-inspired camp ground and natural learning environment. This eco-retreat facility located minutes from Givhans Ferry State Park and 16 miles from Summerville, is a growing family farm with fishing ponds, walking trails, archery, tent camping, gardening, craft/activity center and 900 feet of the Edisto River. Summer camps are offered weekly and daily and focus on interaction and appreciation for the natural world.

Summer Nature Camps are ongoing for students ages 4 and up. Younger children are welcome with parental supervision, parent participation is encouraged in weekly camps. Participants can choose full day or week camps, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Each day, campers are welcomed to explore the family farm, archery range, walking trails, bird watching, pond investigations and nature center library. With freedom to learn and discover in the open outdoors, children really flourish. Each week we will explore different adventures & age appropriate activities based on our attending campers. Explorers will also create walking sticks, nature journals, rock art, paintings, nature rubbings, and more. Campers will be given the opportunity to explore projects that they can replicate at home with supervision. They will also create crafts while finding that exercise and the outdoors are important for a well- rounded life. Campers will have free time to play, explore, and create in nature.

Natural Gathering Grounds is an Eco Retreat and Outdoor Exploration Camp located in Ridgeville, SC.
