February 6, 2017

GREENVILLE, SC – Former Lieutenant Governor Nick Theodore and his wife, Emilie, have agreed to serve as Honorary Chairs for the first annual Cape-Ability Walk & Roll fundraising event benefiting the Barbara Stone Foundation and Thrive Upstate.  The event is scheduled for March 4, 2017 from 9:00-11:00 am at Furman University.

“Both Emilie and I are honored to serve as the Honorary Chairs of the first annual Cape-Ability Walk & Roll.  The Barbara Stone Foundation and Thrive Upstate are quality organizations that make a huge impact in our community usually without our citizens knowing it.  We encourage everyone to come out and join us on March 4th to learn more,” said Nick Theodore.  Cape-Ability Walk & Roll will provide a fun-filled morning activity complete with light exercise and entertainment.  Enjoy the fun noncompetitive 1 mile accessible path around Swan Lake with your friends and family.  Bring your own cape or wear a custom logoed Cape-Ability Walk & Roll cape! The event will be a celebration of the funds raised by teams and participants to support the work of both organizations to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities or special needs in Greenville County.  Registration fees are $25 for participants 13 and older.  To register, go to http://thriveupstate.org/cape-ability/ or call 864.679.0234.
